Hillingdon Mind Projects
Housing Services

Two hands holding a house

Contact: Mae Purcell, Housing Manager.

Hillingdon Mind provides Supported Housing in the local area for people recovering from severe and enduring mental health problems.

We have a variety of housing options.

The first is Shared Supported Housing. This scheme has been in operation for 17 years.   It consists of five houses in the local community and two tenants of the same sex share each house.

Eight years ago we acquired four one bedded flats, these are also situated in the local area. All of the above are owned by The Notting Hill Housing Trust and Hillingdon Mind is the Managing Agents.

Five years ago we gained a new project from Supporting People Funding which is a Floating Support Scheme. It is a borough wide scheme for people from Black and Ethnic minorities. We support 13 people in their own homes with all aspects of Housing Support including benefit advice, and social skills training. We offer one hour one to one support on a weekly basis, increasing this in times of need.

The three schemes are vibrant mix of tenants who come together on a three monthly basis to have Tenants Forums, where they can discuss issues with the staff and each other in a relaxed environment.

There is a staff team of three: Two full time and one part time.

All referrals have to be made by a professional and through the Vulnerability Housing Panel.

Please contact us if you would like any further information.
